Mission Statement

Christ is our model. St. Louis Catholic School is dedicated to the formation of children in Faith, Mind and Body
By fostering personal excellence within the Catholic tradition.

We, the faculty and administration of St. Louis Catholic School, readily accept our ministry of Catholic education. We stress the importance of the parents as the primary educators and religious trainers of their children, and encourage an open and friendly communication policy among home, rectory, and school.

We feel the responsibility to integrate the Gospel message in all school subjects, when applicable, as well as in all aspects of school life, by upholding, teaching, and modeling Christian beliefs, morals, and ethics to our students.

The faculty and administration strive to create a family-like atmosphere that fosters the respect and dignity of each person. We emphasize the importance of developing healthy relationships with one another. We recognize the unique needs, abilities, and gifts of each student; and endeavor to accommodate these with our approach to instruction, and within the scope of our curriculum.

The philosophy of St. Louis School takes into account sociological, physical, intellectual, religious and psychological formation of the children.

The school's goals in these areas are:

Sociological
Help our students develop and maintain Christian attitudes toward themselves, their families, and the community. We try to foster social awareness and concern, and a responsible involvement in the world.

Physical
Assist our students in developing a wholesome attitude toward their bodies through physical training and education in order to foster and maintain mental and physical well-being.

Intellectual
Help our students develop, according to their ability, the intellectual skills necessary for them to think and act effectively in today's society.

Psychological
Help our students develop a positive self-image in relation to themselves and to the community around them.

Religious
Nurture a personal relationship with God within our families and within our school community and to help mold a Christian person who will live out Gospel values in our changing society.
